These earrings are incredible! They look and FEEL smooth and shiny like plastic; even glass like.
You'd think, 'gee, how in the heck does one wear her earrings?.' Yes, I thought that too.. Until I made these!

You simply wear them like any other earring, by pushing the post on the back as close to your ear as you can. Since they're so light, it doesn't pinch. It's about the weight as a large dangle earring.
THEY DO droop a bit just because they are big beautiful blue balls; it's gravity.

They are made of solid foam, so they're LIGHT.
I'd say with paint and everything, about the weight of a chandelier dangling earring, if that. They are surprisingly light.
They don't 'lean' down because they're heavy, it is because of where I had to put the earring back on. If it was up higher, it wouldn't lay down as much.
But it doesn't matter, because Princess Peach's earrings do that too. :)
Peach's earrings droop also, almost like she were wearing them on hooks, but she isn't.

They are made from solid foam(because it's the lightest material), sanded smooth, carefully and painstakingly dipped..and dippped..and dipped in hand mixed paint.
I use almost three bottles of varying shades of metallic blues to get the color right!
After each coat dries, I dip it over again until it is smooth like plastic.
But the magic happens when I do the final coat of clear gloss!
When that dries, they are so shiny and reflective its like glass, they even 'clack' when they touch each other a bit. It's truely wonderful.
The way I dip them though, leaves NO drip mark. You won't even be able to tell they were dipped!
Notice, the pictures of them looking straight on, NO drip marks. The key is HOW I paint them.

I can do up to three coats a day, but the coats need to be completely dry before I do another.
